Artist Statement: This is what I hope the viewer sees in my pieces: the joy of throwing and perhaps a touch of whimsy. I do the other stuff; trimming, glazing, etc., and it all adds up. It is a thrill to see a pot that really “works” coming out of the kiln. The glaze is wonderful and plays well off the form and the pot has the right finishing touches. But day in, and day out, throwing is what keeps me coming back.
