SUMMARY:Things that Matter
DESCRIPTION:Opening Reception with the Artists: Saturday\, November 17\, 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. \n31 fiber artists use their individual talents to let their voices be heard. They remind us that THIS thing\, idea\, place\, or part of our world should not be forgotten or undefended when at risk from intolerance\, ignorance\, indifference\, or greed. They offer us intuitive responses\, sorrows\, desires to right things\, to protect what may be disappearing. And they offer hope\, a tender need to call out to the world to remember precious things in life. The 31 artists in the Things that Matter exhibition are Deidre Adams\, Brooke Atherton\, Susan Avila\, Alice Beasley\, Pamela Blotner\, George Ann Bowers\, Dawn Williams Boyd\, Betty Busby\, Paula Chung\, Linda Colsh\, Sheila Frampton Cooper\, Carolyn Dahl\, Susan Else\, Cindy Friendman\, Patty Kennedy-Zafred\, Cathy Kleeman\, Sandra Lauterbach\, Susan Lenz\, Lorie McCown\, Rachel Meginnes\, Kathy Nida\, Lori Lupe Pelish\, Judith Plotner\, Sandra Poteet\, Wen Redmond\, Martha Ressler\, Lin Schiffner\, Joan Schulze\, Bonnie Jo Smith\, Virginia Spiegel\, and Elena Stokes. The show previewed in April 2018 in San Diego\, California before coming to Chandler\, Arizona. \nImage: Dawn William Boyd\, America’s Homeless\, 2017 \nRSVP
