DESCRIPTION:In the hustle and bustle of our busy lives\, we all need a place where we can go to reflect\, re-center\, and restore our energy. Whether this is a religious institution\, community gathering place\, or a nook in your home\, sacred spaces allow us to step outside of our everyday lives so that we can focus on our spirit. These spaces are rich with the symbology of what matters most to us\, a distilled expression of our most authentic selves. \nArtist Frank Gonzales has created a sacred space in his painting studio. Surrounded by books\, plants\, and artwork made by friends\, this is where he thrives. He brings this reverent energy to the artwork he creates\, making each canvas a sacred space for the plant and animal beings he represents. He distills incredibly complicated relationships in the natural world down to their core elements\, using color and movement to reflect on their truest ways of being.
