Field of Belonging: Megan Hennessy

“Field of Belonging” offers a glimpse into the world Megan Hennessy is building for herself – a world shaped by joy, surreal beauty, and quiet rebellion. Inspired by maximalism, rave aesthetics, and the soft power of spiritual connection, this exhibition pulses with color, texture, and care. Exaggerated Kandi forms and glowing orbs echo with a message of affirmation: “YOU BELONG,” creating a sanctuary that exists somewhere between memory and a future dream.

This installation is grounded in four enduring values: Peace, Love, Unity, and Respect. These principles, often abbreviated as PLUR in rave culture, speak to the core of our human experience—a desire to feel safe, to belong, to connect, and to grow. Hennessy offers a personal interpretation: Possibility, Light, Understanding, and Resonate. This reinterpretation is not intended to replace the original values, but to build upon them—contributing to the formation of a space not meant for escape, but for reflection and transformation.

Hennessy invites you to become part of her personal utopia—protective, radiant, and alive—a space where new growth blooms, guardians stand watch, and acceptance is a given.
