Join this metaphorical miyeokguk cooking journey with food performance artist Jisun Myung. As she leads the audience in play-cooking miyeokguk, or Korean birthday soup, you will listen to various women’s stories on reproduction. Come and taste a bowl of heartfelt mother-daughter connection, the slippery baggage of tradition, or Korean women diaspora.

  • Audience members will be asked to walk through a tank filled with water and seaweed
  • Audience members will have a bowl of seaweed soup at the end. Once you reserve your spot, you will get notification(s) regarding allergy warning.
  • Young people are welcome, but this show is NOT made for a young audience. Best appreciated by audience age 12+

Run time approximately 1hour.

We will hold two showings of this performance: 5pm and 7pm.

Because very limited tickets are available, we kindly request that if you are not sure you’ll be able to make it to this event that you wait until the week of March 4 to register.
