CALLING ALL VENDORS! ❗

Yum Yum Night Market is a free-to-attend market celebrating Asian food and culture taking place in Downtown Chandler in the Chandler City Hall courtyard. We are seeking food/beverage trucks, food/beverage booths, and merchandise vendors to participate in this event. 🏮🥡

Submissions are due November 1 @ 11:59pm MST

Interested in applying? Head to our link in bio to learn more!

Event Description:
What is Yum Yum Night Market? On January 22, Chicago Street will come alive as it transforms into a vibrant, high-energy Night Market celebrating the richness and diversity of the Asian diaspora. For one unforgettable evening, the corridor will be filled with the sights, sounds, and flavors of bustling street markets.

Beyond the food, the Chandler City Hall courtyard will be transformed into an immersive art and shopping experience. A DJ spinning electrifying tunes will welcome visitors into the space and artists will dazzle folks with live paintings. Along the outer edges of the courtyard, there will be local Asian vendors and hands on art activities for all ages.

Designed as a free, family-friendly event, Yum Yum Night Market offers a welcoming space for residents of all ages to gather, connect, and celebrate Asian culture. This one-night activation not only provides meaningful cultural programming, but also drives foot traffic, supports local creatives and entrepreneurs, and reinforces the City’s commitment to inclusive, community-centered events.

This program is in conjunction with the OMG: MSG exhibition at Vision Gallery.

“Lurking: Valerie Navarrete” will be on display at The Gallery at Chandler Center for the Arts October 30, 2026 - January 23, 2027 (@valerie_nav)

Opening Reception: October 30, 6 to 8 p.m. at The Gallery at CCA

How do you illustrate the discovery of scientific thought? How do you explain the mysticism of the world in a tangible way? These are some of the questions that Valerie Navarrete is grappling with in her newest body of work. With a background in science and an interest in the arcana, Navarrete began exploring the duality of the mystical and empirical in her own beliefs through her artwork. What resulted are these intensely vibrant, otherworldly landscapes that seem to float in and out of lucidity through the tightly detailed figurative renderings and loose gestural backgrounds. Hidden amongst the paintings are a pair of eyes; these eyes are Navarrete's own psyche acting as both a voyeur to this new frontier but also the witness to a new understanding of self and human existence, constantly lurking into the abyss.

* Due to unforeseen circumstances during renovations at the CCA, this exhibition’s opening date was postponed from October 3rd to October 30th. Thank you for your understanding. *
